A Thrifty Lunch

I knew I was going to like my new job the day I discovered a Goodwill right down the street.

Today I went on a little jaunt with fifteen minutes left to spare of my lunch break. You know, just to investigate. I got a few weird stares because a) I was probably the best dressed one in the vicinity clopping around in my heels, and b) I was snapping pictures on my phone like a creeper. Like any good thrifty blogger, I can't go to Goodwill without taking pictures.

Obviously I will be going back when I have some money and more time, but from my first impressions this Goodwill store looks to be pretty solid! A little on the messy side, but who doesn't love a good mess to dig through? They had rows and rows of glassware and home goods, which is always fun to browse through, and from what I could tell the clothes seemed decent too.

On the way up the elevator I thought a self portrait after a whirlwind Goodwill excursion was appropriate. Because everything in the outfit was thrifted.
I'M SURE YOU'RE SHOCKED!

  4. Wow, that's such a great work outfit & you know that I LOVE that everything is thrifted :) I have a thrift store not too far from where I work & it's a little dangerous to have it in such close proximity lol.

  5. Yay for a Goodwill right near your job! I haven't had any luck at my Goodwill lately...I'm starting to think I need to cheat on GW for Salvation Army :)

  6. Love the outfit, and especially because it's all thrifted :) That cardigan is adorable.

And now I think I'm a bad thrify blogger because I never take pics in Goodwill! Unless there's something really funny I need to text to a friend...

  9. There are like 3 Goodwills near my office!! I go weekly, obvi. Also my fave Unique is only a hop skip and a jump away- so dangerous! I also never remember to take photos while I'm there, I should probably get on that!!

  11. What a fun lunch excursion! I feel like Goodwill has come a long way since the '90s, yeah? I remember shopping there in '94 for corduroy pants and velour shirts as I listed to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Green Day, haha!

  12. Brenda you are so lucky. I wish my work would have a thrift store right in the building. I love vintage old folks clothing. Now there's an idea. This is great news! Can't wait to see what you find. I can why they were looking at you...so cute. Dawn suitcase vignettes xo
